About Me
This website contains the findings of my search for the best slice of pizza in Greenwich, CT. I’m Steven Blank, a Greenwich High School student and pizza lover. My love of pizza began years ago when I used to go out for pizza every Sunday when I was little. During freshman year (2018-19) for my English 113A Genius Hour Project, I delved into the Greenwich pizza scene. Since then, I’ve continued to update this site in pursuit of the perfect pie.
My Goal
It may come as a surprise to most but Greenwich has a lot of pizza places. A LOT. Most people tend to have their one “go-to” pizzeria that they always count on for their weekly slice. This is in part due to location and, more significantly, familiarity. As people become more familiar with a restaurant, they build loyalty. This loyalty is comfortable and blinding so it’s easy to miss out on new places and potentially tastier pieces of pizza. Through my thorough research, countless “business trips,” and reviews, I’ve been trying to answer two hotly debated questions: What is the best pizzeria in Greenwich and where in Greenwich can someone get the best slice of pizza?
There’s a key distinction between these two questions: one tries to find the best tasting piece of pizza whereas the other also includes service, ambiance, and other dishes offered. Pizzerias often sell many dishes, generally Italian, which are important to assessing the restaurant as a whole. In order to answer these questions, I had to learn about pizza and food reviewing.
